At school, Iori meets Kouhei Imamura, an anime otaku who quickly becomes both a rival and a best friend. Their dynamic fuels many of the show’s funniest moments. Also entering the picture is Chisa Kotegawa, Iori’s stoic cousin and a serious diver, who disapproves of the club’s ridiculous antics but slowly warms up to Iori’s awkward charm.

As the party chaos continues, glimpses of the club’s actual purpose emerge. Iori begins taking diving lessons seriously and discovers a profound peace underwater. The episodes balance the club’s wild activities with breathtaking moments of silent beauty beneath the waves.
Chisa becomes a grounding presence for Iori, pushing him to understand that diving is more than a hobby—it’s a way to connect with nature and oneself. Meanwhile, the club continues its prank wars, drinking games, and endless contests of manliness.
Despite the comedic madness, a core friendship forms between Iori, Kouhei, and the club members, revealing a warm-hearted loyalty beneath their rowdy exteriors.
Summer of Absurdity (Episodes 7–9)
Summer brings new members, beach trips, and absurd schemes. The group gets involved in various competitions and misunderstandings—like cosplay events gone wrong, fights over love confessions, and cross-dressing scenarios. Yet, the humor never overshadows the real emotional beats.
Iori’s character matures as he balances fun with growing responsibilities in both diving and school life. His feelings for Chisa remain confusing, especially with the arrival of Aina Yoshiwara—a socially awkward but strong-willed girl who harbors a growing crush on him.
Aina’s presence adds both chaos and depth. Her awkward moments and desire to be accepted mirror Iori’s own struggle to fit in. Kouhei, meanwhile, continues to be a hilarious wildcard, switching between anime idol worship and shirtless brawls.
Diving Into the Future (Episodes 10–12)
The final episodes showcase the club’s first official diving trip, where Iori and others experience deeper dives. Underwater scenes deliver a stark contrast to the noisy surface world, emphasizing calm, introspection, and unity.
Iori begins to truly appreciate diving as more than just a club activity. Chisa acknowledges his growth with subtle signs of respect, though their relationship remains undefined.
The season ends with the group returning to their wild routines, leaving viewers with both laughter and a surprising sense of nostalgia. It's a reminder that college isn’t just about studies—it’s about the people you meet, the chaos you survive, and the passions you discover along the way.
Character Explanations
Iori Kitahara: The protagonist. Initially resistant, Iori transforms into a true member of the diving club, caught between chaos and personal growth. His slapstick misfortunes mask a curious and sincere heart.
Kouhei Imamura: Iori’s best friend and partner-in-mayhem. A proud anime otaku who constantly clashes with Iori, but always has his back. Their bromance drives much of the comedy.
