What If Ichigo Kurosaki Was Transported to the World of Demon Slayer ? - Anime Lore Hub

A crossover story exploring what happens when the Substitute Soul Reaper enters the world of Demon Slayers and demons…

Chapter 1: A Rift Between Worlds

It was supposed to be a normal night in Karakura Town. Ichigo Kurosaki, Substitute Soul Reaper, had just finished dealing with a Hollow attack. The remnants of its spiritual energy still lingered in the air as he sheathed his Zangetsu, letting out a sigh.

Then, suddenly—the world trembled.

A strange, swirling portal appeared before him, rippling like a tear in space. Before Ichigo could react, an unseen force pulled him in, and in an instant—

He was gone.

Chapter 2: Awakening in a Different Era

Ichigo opened his eyes to find himself in the middle of a dense forest. The air was different—he couldn’t feel the presence of Hollows, but there was a dark, eerie energy lingering around.

His Soul Reaper senses picked up something nearby. He heard a bloodcurdling scream.

Dashing forward, he found a young girl covered in blood, cornered by a grotesque humanoid figure. The creature had glowing red eyes, sharp claws, and veins pulsing across its body.

  • "A… Hollow?" Ichigo muttered, confused.
  • But no—this wasn’t a Hollow. It was something else.
  • Then, he realized—it was a demon.

Without hesitation, Ichigo flashed forward, drawing his massive black blade.

  • "Getsuga Tenshō!"

A wave of energy obliterated the demon, reducing it to nothing. The girl gasped, staring in shock at Ichigo.

"That… that wasn’t a Nichirin blade! Who are you?!"

Ichigo was about to ask where he was when suddenly—

More demons appeared.

Chapter 3: Encounter with the Demon Slayers

Ichigo fought off the demons effortlessly, his Reiatsu flaring, making them tremble in fear. Just as he finished the last one, a group of swordsmen arrived, dressed in strange, patterned clothing.

  • "Step away from the girl!" a voice shouted.
  • Ichigo turned to see Tanjiro Kamado, his sword drawn, standing alongside Inosuke and Zenitsu.

Tanjiro’s sharp senses flared—this man’s presence was unlike anything he had ever felt. It wasn’t demonic, but it was… immense.

  • "I just saved her," Ichigo said casually.
  • Inosuke pointed his twin swords at him. "You smell weird! You’re not a demon, but you’re not normal either!"
  • Zenitsu was already shaking. "W-Wait, is he a new kind of demon?! One that wields a sword?!"

Tanjiro, trusting his instincts, lowered his blade. "No… he saved her. He’s not an enemy."

Ichigo sighed in relief. "Finally, someone reasonable."

The Demon Slayers took Ichigo with them, leading him to their headquarters—the Butterfly Mansion—where he could get some answers.

Chapter 4: Meeting the Hashira

Word spread quickly about the mysterious "black-cloaked swordsman" who could destroy demons with a single strike. Soon, Ichigo found himself standing before the Hashira, the strongest Demon Slayers.

  • Giyu Tomioka studied Ichigo with his usual cold stare.
  • Shinobu Kocho smiled, but her gaze was calculating.
  • Sanemi Shinazugawa was outright hostile. "I don’t trust this guy!"
  • Mitsuri Kanroji was amazed. "Whoa! You’re so strong!"
  • Rengoku gave a loud laugh. "You have a warrior’s spirit!"

The leader, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, gently asked Ichigo to explain himself.

Ichigo, confused but cooperative, told them about his world—Soul Reapers, Hollows, and how he ended up here.

The Hashira exchanged glances. They had never heard of Soul Reapers, but they had a bigger concern:

  • "If you’re this strong," Giyu said, "then you must help us."

A new, powerful demon was emerging, one that even the Hashira feared.

Ichigo, never one to ignore those in need, agreed.

  • "Fine. If there’s a fight, count me in."

Little did he know, this mission would bring him face-to-face with Muzan Kibutsuji himself.

Chapter 5: The Demon King’s Interest

Word of Ichigo’s power quickly reached Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King.

  • "A being from another world? One with strength beyond any Hashira?"
  • Muzan’s curiosity turned into hunger. He had to know more.

He sent Akaza, Kokushibo, and Douma—three of his strongest Upper Moons—to either recruit Ichigo… or eliminate him.

At the same time, Ichigo trained alongside Tanjiro and the Hashira, learning about Breathing Styles, Blood Demon Arts, and the Nichirin swords.

While he didn’t need them, he admired their determination.

Tanjiro even asked Ichigo, "Do you have a family waiting for you?"

Ichigo thought of his father, his sisters, and his friends. He clenched his fist.

  • "Yeah. That’s why I need to find a way back."

But first, he had a battle to win.

Chapter 6: The Battle Against the Upper Moons

One night, a sinister aura filled the air.

Akaza and Douma attacked the Demon Slayer base, while Kokushibo went after Ichigo directly.

The fights were intense:

  • Tanjiro and Giyu fought Akaza.
  • Shinobu and Inosuke fought Douma.
  • Ichigo faced Kokushibo—the strongest Upper Moon.

Kokushibo, once a powerful swordsman, could sense Ichigo’s strength.

  • "You are not of this world… but your power is undeniable."
  • Ichigo smirked. "You talk too much. Let’s get this over with."

Their clash shook the forest, Kokushibo’s Moon Breathing techniques colliding against Ichigo’s Getsuga Tenshō.

Kokushibo used his Blood Demon Art, but Ichigo—activating Bankai: Tensa Zangetsuoverpowered him with sheer speed.

  • "Hakai suru… Getsuga Jūjishō!"

A cross-shaped energy slash tore Kokushibo apart, killing him instantly.

The battle ended with the Demon Slayers victorious—but Muzan was still out there.

And now, he was truly interested in Ichigo.

Chapter 7: The Final Confrontation – Ichigo vs. Muzan

Muzan finally appeared, his dark aura suffocating the battlefield.

  • "You do not belong here," Muzan said.
  • Ichigo gripped Zangetsu tighter. "And you don’t belong anywhere."

Their battle was legendary.

  • Ichigo’s Bankai vs. Muzan’s limitless regeneration.
  • Muzan’s Blood Demon Arts vs. Ichigo’s Hollow mask.
  • Ichigo activating Final Getsuga Tenshō… to deliver the final blow.

With one massive slash, Muzan was completely annihilated.

The Demon Slayer Corps had won.

Chapter 8: Returning Home

With Muzan gone, the balance of the world shifted. The same rift that brought Ichigo here reopened, ready to take him back.

Tanjiro and the others bid him farewell.

  • "You’ll always have a home here, Ichigo."
  • "Same to you guys," Ichigo said, smirking.

Stepping into the portal, Ichigo vanished—returning to Karakura Town, where his next battle awaited.

But he’d never forget the friends he made in the Demon Slayer world.

Final Thoughts

If Ichigo entered Demon Slayer, he would:

  • Easily surpass the Hashira in power.
  • Destroy Upper Moons with Bankai.
  • Terrify Muzan with his sheer strength.
  • Form strong bonds with Tanjiro and the others.

In the end, Ichigo would leave behind a legend—one that would be told for generations in the Demon Slayer Corps.
